Explosion Proof Power Converter for ATEX Air Conditioners
The Ex-M ATEX Power Converter is a certified solution for connecting ATEX Zone 2/22 air conditioners to marine and offshore vessels with three-phase power systems (400-480V, 50/60 Hz) — without a neutral conductor.
Ships and offshore platforms typically operate on three-phase, no-neutral power grids, while ATEX air conditioners require a neutral to function properly. This converter generates a virtual neutral and adapts voltage when necessary, enabling safe and compliant operation of explosion proof air conditioning systems.
Unlike standard solutions that require “regular” AC units, this converter is designed specifically to work with our own explosion proof (ATEX Zone 2/22) air conditioners, forming a complete, certified system for hazardous areas.
Compact, robust, and marine grade, the unit is built to withstand vibration, humidity, salt, and corrosion — perfect for confined technical spaces on chemical tankers, offshore platforms, and other vessels operating in hazardous zones.
Due to its special design cooling can be done via the casing, resulting in compact dimensions. It is the only IP66 converter available in the market.
